Mary-Anne Richman
Founder
Heading up the team at makeaseen with over 18 years experience in the communication/events world is Mary-Anne Richman.
Mary-Anne began her career in the meeting and special events business in South Africa after receiving her degree in graphic design from Johannesburg College of Art. As the youngest president ever of Paton Tupper Audio Visuals, one of the largest production houses in South Africa, her projects included over-seeing multi-image, video and extravaganzas using live theater, sets, lasers, pyrotechnics and special effects. Accounts included: Gillette, Revlon, Bristol Meyers, Beecham, South African Breweries, Lipton and Colgate.
Furthering her career in the US, Mary-Anne soon found herself in demand as one of Boston’s most highly regarded and sought after Executive Producers, sharing her knowledge with Production Companies in Boston before channeling her talents and skills into creating one of Boston’s most prestigious Production Companies – MARS Productions.
During her career in the U.S., Mary-Anne’s impressive resume of clients includes: Sun Microsystems, Rational/ IBM, Lucent Technology, Foxboro, Invensys, and IONA Software, Ennovate Networks, Q1 Labs, Sycamore Networks, Arbor Networks Nynex, Bank of New England, New England Telephone, Polaroid, Striderite, Gillette, Hewlett Packard, Reebok, Puma, Liberty Mutual, Spalding Sports, EMC, Concord Communications, 3Com, Silverback Technologies, Shiva, e-Dialog and Vericode.

Tom Bregman
Co founder
Tom Bregman was most recently Director of Sales and Marketing at the nation's premier political data company. In that capacity Tom directly supported the successful data driven campaigns of Barack Obama and others in the 2008 election cycle. For more than a decade before coming to Washington Tom worked in the telecom, banking and insurance sectors as a product manager, software developer and business analyst. Since the early 1990's he has played a key role in the creation, marketing and management of a wide range of global business-to-business IP services for Fortune 100 companies.
Since graduating SUNY Stony Brook with a degree in International Affairs, Tom has also had a parallel career in progressive politics, environmental advocacy and real estate development. He had an equity stake and co-managed a green rebuilding project, led a successful open space protection campaign, worked on both congressional and presidential campaigns, ran for public office at the county level, and co-founded the Democratic Alliance in New York's Hudson Valley.
Darriel Park
Producer
Darriel graduated from Towson State University in Maryland. He has worked in the Natural Foods industry from 1989-2005 and spent 9 of those years as an independent merchandising consultant working on expansion, renovation, and startup projects throughout the Western United States and Canada. Darriel was involved in a number of recycling, green building and organic farming projects throughout those years, in addition to servicing hundreds of retail operations dedicated to healthier food practices and sustainable lifestyles. Since 2005 Darriel has been a production manager for Aerial Experience Productions, a custom movement arts production company.
Darriel has been an active member of numerous environmental organizations for more than 2 decades now and he brings his enormous passion and understanding to projects here at makeaseen.
Alicia Rodriguez
Facilitator
Ms. Rodriguez founded Sophia Associates, Inc. in 2000 based on the premise that wisdom is an essential element to powerful leadership that can be accessed through coaching.The Buddhists have a word – prajna– that means “wisdom-partner”. This moniker reflects her belief that coaches ideally serve as wisdom partners for their clients. Sophia Associates reflects her belief in a new paradigm for leadership that includes the whole – the whole person, the whole organization, and the whole community. Ms. Rodriguez is known for her intuition as much as her results in coaching leaders and executives who commit to developing themselves from the inside out. She actively seeks out her own learning opportunities and often collaborates with others to challenge her own thinking and to innovate products and services for clients.
Patrick Kleinen
Creative Director/Writer
As our specialist in conceptual development and scriptwriting, Patrick serves as a creative partner to both the client and the makeaseen team. Known for his incisive, energetic writing and a rare ability to translate visions into realities.
Patrick brings the full force of his 20+ years in high-end business communications to every engagement.
Patrick is an accomplished speechwriter with numerous awards for advertising, video and interactive media. His unique ability to encapsulate ideas and insights into compelling media has influenced the success of countless clients including: the Boston Red Sox, PricewaterhouseCoopers, PartyLite Gifts, Gillette, Boston Scientific, Nuance, Enterasys, PegaSystems, Business Objects, SolidWorks, the San Francisco Chronicle, Bayer Diagnostics, Boston College and many more across the spectrum of business, sports, non-profit and academia.
Bonny Katzman
Designer
Bonny has over 25 years of experience in the creative industry. She has created corporate identity programs and Annual Reports for a wide range of Fortune 500 clients, including AT&T, Mastercard, Liz Claiborne, Fidelity Investments and Tyco, and has held senior roles at leading advertising, marketing, design and public relations firms in NYC, including Hill & Knowlton, Bessen, Tully & Lee and The Graphic Expression.
In 1996, Bonny established BK Design, an independent studio specializing in event branding and the design of unique 3/Dimensional invitations and accessories for any celebration or event. Bonny’s recent work for Denis Leary, Dan Brown (author of The DaVinci Code) and the CEO of Hallmark Entertainment has garnered international creative awards. Corporate clients include Harvard Business School, Ropes & Gray, Bank of America, Fidelity, HBO, Pfizer, American Institutes for Research, The Red Cross, Rosie’s Place, Opera Boston, Fuller Craft Museum and many private clients. Bonny has a BFA in graphic design from Rhode Island School of Design.

Jay Inman
Designer/Multimedia Specialist
Jay has over 20 years experience in design and communications for the business and arts community. Since graduating from Rhode Island College in 1981, where he majored in Photography and Design, he has honed his skills and vision in a variety of visual communications arenas, from multi-image design and special effects, animation (both photographic and computer generated), motion graphics design and production for video and film, and interactive interface & media design (with an emphasis on Flash and Director).
Jay brings a unique vision to every project, and his primary strengths are in being able to work with clients from the ground up, carrying creative projects from conceptualization through final production - always with a keen focus on the design and the intended goals of each. Some of the clients that have benefited from Jay's expertise and vision are IBM, Lucent, Fleet Bank, EMC, ADC, Shiva, Unisys, and Invensys.
Dennis Allen
Video Producer
Dennis Allen is the founding partner of Incandescent Entertainment Inc. His experience encompasses every aspect of screen media production and broadcast television, particularly the hands-on management of the editorial, financial, production, and distribution needs of television projects, with a focus in public television.
He has produced on location in every part of the US, much of Europe, South America and Asia, and has managed shows involving multi-camera studio and large historic venues.
He began his television series career as executive producer for two seasons of Jack Hanna's Animal Adventures, a nationally syndicated broadcast half hour with 92+% national clearance and a rating of 2.4 – 2.8.
Dennis has particular experience coordinating the cross media opportunities for artists, authors, and speakers, and has consulted on television properties for clients like Hachette Filipacchi, Gaiam, Hay House, and Ziff Davis Media.
He has extensive experience in non-broadcast video production and distribution having produced numerous titles for national attractions such as the American Museum of Natural History, Colonial Williamsburg, the Henry Ford Museum, Mystic Seaport, Old Salem, The Freedom Trail, and Plimoth Plantation.
Paul Dalpé
Director of Photography/Video
Paul Dalpé has spent over 25 years honing his skills as a director, videographer and photographer working independently for corporate clients and major networks alike. Paul has covered a wide range of news stories, people and events such as the Boston Marathon, Presidential elections, high profile news stories as well as many network programs such as “The David Letterman Show”, “Last Comic Standing”, “VH1- Behind the Music” and MTV’s “Fanatics”, among others. He has worked for networks like “Fox Sports, ABC, NBC , CBS, The Weather Channel, Court TV, and more. In addition, Paul has been a lighting director for many corporate television talk shows and dramatic pieces for clients including HP, Pearson education, EMC, Fidelity, The Mathworks, and Sun Microsystems. His experience and expertise in video camera work, and lighting infuse a dramatic effect in all elements of the creative process to capture the spirit of the interview, event or narration. Telling the story with video, is a persuasive skill.
Complimenting his work in video production, Paul has also spent many years as a photographer serving clients to promote their business in creative and innovative ways. He continues to work with a variety of clients on location and in the PointSource Media Studio shooting products and people including such clients as Hewlett-Packard, Clark Shoes, The Boston Celtics, and UPS, as well as magazines such as Business Week, Dish Magazine, and a number of trade journals. Paul always brings great enthusiasm and a fresh eye and outlook to every production.
Vangile Makwakwa
Spoken Word Poet
Vangile Makwakwa has an MBA from the Simmons School of Management and an undergraduate degree in finance from the university of Cape Town, South Africa. She is a spoken word poet and has worked extensively with artists of all disciplines. She has lived and performed in 4 different countries, which has shaped her view of the spoken word poetry industry and made her culturally aware of many issues internationally. She believes that art is important because it is the mirror image of our society, whereas poetry gives people a voice and empowers them. She is the founder and CEO of Speak 2B Free. The mission of Speak 2B Free is to promote spoken word poetry globally (online and offline) and take the spoken word poetry revolution a step further by making it mainstream and providing spoken word poets with platforms to perform in both the virtual and the real world.
Rose Hattabaugh
Producer
Rose Hattabaugh has worked in production for over twenty years. As Producer at makeaseen she is responsible for making sure that all the details of the creative process come together for the client.
With a degree in Communications from Emerson College, Rose has worked in television and started her career in corporate production with the two largest production companies in Boston. She has worked with an array of clients from Titleist, Gillette, and CVS to Codex, Invensys, and IONA.
Her years of corporate experience in video production, on site events and live presentations have given Rose a unique understanding of the art and science behind corporate meetings and presentations. She is dedicated to making each event creative, fun, and successful for our clients.
Kevin Hays
Web Developer
Kevin Hays is one of the most experienced audio-visual/video developers in the business and has been recognized with numerous awards for his work as a programmer and soundtrack producer over a 27 year career.
With a degree in Audio Visual Production from New England School of Photography and coursework in Sculpture, Photography and Electronic Technical Service, Kevin brings a broad background of technical and artistic training to every project.
Kevin has been programming multimedia projects since the days of Windows 3 utilizing DOS, Macromedia Director, Adobe Flash, HTML, PHP and SQL databases. He emphasizes a top-down approach to software design, and is a specialist in creating modular, object-oriented design which can be expanded and modified without affecting the entire project.
As resident nerd at makeaseen, Kevin ensures that video, web and multimedia projects fuse with seamless efficiency.
